

The Fig of Cosenza has been PDO since 2011, when the EU also decided to give the green light for the origin protection of such a special fig. This dried fig has a sweet taste, is rich in fiber and is rich in calcium, potassium and iron. It is produced only in the province of Cosenza and in some restricted areas of the province of Catanzaro.
